Founded in 2006 by footwear industry veteran designer Darin Hager, who has been a corporate designer for brands including Puma, Sperry Top-Sider, and DKNY, Hager yearned for the opportunity to design fashion forward footwear without the constraints imposed by corporate design committees.
As Heyday Footwear's Chief Everything Officer, Darin Hager, coalesced his then decade long footwear corporate experience into a design process in which disparate trends, styles or constructions are combined to create a fresh new look that stands out from the crowd and provides incredible comfort at the same time. The brands flagship model, The Super Shift features the 2 color, reversible Super Strap, a modular ankle strap that can be worn more than a dozen different ways to always keep you looking fresh.
Brand ambassadors include IAMMEDIC, Hot Chelle Rae, Jay Sean, Flo Rida, cast members from So You think You Can Dance, True Blood and Project Runway, and thousands of the brand's fans on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Brand awareness is raised through groundbreaking collaborations with social media influence site Klout.com, video game of the year Saints Row The Third and futuristic watch brand Nooka. Heyday's place in the music industry has also been cemented both through high profile placement and the release of the Heyday Mixtape series featuring Mobb Deep, Twista, Jay Sean, and Hot Chelle Rae.
