I worked really hard on this video. All the shoes are mine and I hope you enjoy. My hoods not that crazy about sneaker but I am. Its hard to collect as many shoes as I'd like because I am only 13, thats why I am entering this contest. I really want to add to my collection! This is the first video I've made. This Video was made to enter into the rep your sneakerHood competition. I chose to represent Nike Shox for my video because they are extremely popular in my hood in Sydney Australia and I rock them regularly. Rep you sneaker hood part 3 back to school edition reppin for female sneaker heads this is my story Growing up in Queens, NY it was a lot easier to fit in. Everyone befriended someone. Making the transition from city life to suburban life was difficult. In junior high school it was all about "uptowns" aka white air force ones. It was a must have it went with everything. Eventually I made my way up, next was chucks, then dunks, until finally in high school I started with Jordans. Thanks to my older brother who bought me a pair for basketball I became obsessed. High school in long island no one understood why I was so addicted to something that they use for simple everyday use. For me it's more than that. Dressing up for school was really the only thing I looked forward to. Now, I am a current student at Nassau Community College, and I am an art major. There's more of a sneaker culture here than I had in high school. Being a female sneakerhead I feel is difficult, there's lack of respect, and sometimes your alone. Many female sneaker heads don't speak out, considering this is a male dominated culture. But it's my turn to speak up. I guess we can say that school has very much influenced me to begin my passion for this culture. Whether it was starting out with an all white canvas, something to improve my game, something I was alone in and no one understood.
