Somethings within the sneaker culture don’t always make sense, and that’s where sneaker aficionados have to be discerning and not fall for the okey-doke!
But, it’s hard to not fall for the okey-doke when you’re under attack, and some folks may even call it a ‘barrage’ with the number of sneakers that are being released on a weekly basis.  Yeah, it’s crazy!
The OSD Crew has discussed the topic of the newer generation of sneaker fiends trying to buy every pair of sneakers that are released, only to be disappointed and stuck with kicks that they really don’t like.  Shoot, folks are already suffering from OSD, and now we can add LPS (read: Light Pockets Syndrome) to that list!

As a sneakerhead the one place you should have been (hangover or not) was in Williams burg Brooklyn at the Fresher Than Your Average Sneaker Battle. Held at Public Assembly, the event featured a series of venders ranging from Bloodline fresh, to 8&9, LNGDS and a few others, as well as collectors from around the city rocking their rarest and most pristine kicks.

This past Saturday at the Public Assembly in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Dallas Penn and I hosted the FRSHR THAN YOUR AVRGE SNEAKER BATTLE. It was a great turnout with plenty of heat in the building. The battle consisted of many contestants rocking a variety of exclusive kicks. The winner of the battle, Slova Don from Boston, won with the NIKE AF1 Bespoke “Crown Royal.” The event brought out, Brooklyn’s own DJ Clark Kent, MILK DEE “Audio Two”, producer, Buckwild, and the INTERNETS. Sneakertube.TV was on hand with Cali du Blanc to capture the experience, check out our photo recap.

Some people have dubbed these the Knicks Jordan 4′s & with the screaming blue, black & orange how can one argue, But indeed these are not inspired by the Knicks they are actually the Air Jordan 4 “Cavs” inspired by “The Shot.” AKA as the legendary “Shot” which took place during the 1989 Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavaliers in where Jordan had his superman cape on & stole the game right before the buzzer struck. Yeah, we believe there will be some madness taking place, but hopefully it will pale in comparison to the craziness we saw and read about regarding the Air Jordan XIs, and the “Galaxy” Foamposites that were released earlier this year.
 Taking a quick glance back to Ep222 you’ll hear the Crew discuss the financial numbers for the footwear industry, which reached $18.4 billion,which is up from $17.5 billion in sales in 2010.  And, you’ll hear our predictions for sales in 2012.
