Welcoming myself to the SneakerTube. TV Blog!

[ 5 ] August 9, 2011 |

First and foremost I need to express how excited and privileged I feel right now. Being asked to come aboard of the SneakerTube.TV blog means a great deal to me, because of the passion I share with all the folks who makes this place possible. A huge shout out to Pete for making SneakerTube possible, SoleDeVida for showing me the ropes and welcoming me to the fam, and Cali who has extended a helping hand in my direction though I have not spoken to or personally met her yet! Can’t wait to officially meet all of you!!

Now, to formally introduce myself. My name is Jesse, but I’m known to everyone as Jay. My nickname JSpeC comes from my love of cars and speed. I’m a 27 year old family man from Hackensack, NJ. I have 2 beautiful angels named Arianna and Jayla Marie. My wife, Elizabeth is my high school sweetheart, we met in 2001 and never looked back, though I don’t understand how she stands me because of my sneaker, tech, and sports obsessions! My love for kicks was established at a young age. I remember the day my older cousin came home and showed me his first pair of Air Jordan 7 Bordeaux’s once I saw them I was hooked. I drove my parents nuts until I reached the age where I could work and get my own shoes. It was a natural fit for me being an active child playing basketball, baseball, and football. Both kicks and sports went hand in hand like Jordan and Nike. My love of technology grew as fast as it did itself. If you ever need help with everything Apple, I’m usually the guy people come too cause I’m such a Mac fanatic. I’m also a die hard NY Yankee and an Atlanta Falcons fan. I still rock out on the baseball diamond and enjoy spending my Sundays in the fall locked away in my home watching the NFL. I’m just your typical modern family man.

Now that my introduction is out of the way I hope to hook all my fellow SneakerTubers up with an insight to my passions as all of you have given me into the world of Sneaker culture! Stay up people! JSpeC out!

About Jay: I was born and raised in Hackensack, NJ. Sneakers became a part of my image at a young age, but I couldn’t really afford the habit until I hit my 20’s. I’m also a huge tech geek; I probably couldn’t live without my iPhone or my Macs. I’m the type of dude that people always contact regarding their old kicks, new kicks, and devices, plus the fact that I use to work at Apple. I’m a family man with a wife and 2 beautiful daughters ages 8 and 2 and a huge sports buff, I bleed NY Yankee blue and Atlanta Falcon red. I love the fact that sneakers are now everywhere, even the baseball field. It’s a sign that the sneaker culture is alive and well and has no plans to ever die down. Technology is in the same ball part. Everyday its evolving and getting a lot more advanced and pretty soon we are all going to be wearing Marty McFly Nikes and riding around in fly cars. yankees & alanta how did that come about?

  2. Jay says:

I am a huge Deion Sanders fan. I became an Atlanta fan because Deion started his career there and did so many things nobody else has, like hitting a HomeRun and scoring a TD in the same week. Then becoming the only professional athlete to play in a World Series and a Super Bowl. Then with people like Jamal Anderson and his dirty bird, Chris Chandler, OJ Santiago and the rest of the 1998 Super Bowl run Falcons, I was hooked. Plus I am also a hugggeeeee Mike Vick fan.
