Welcome to North Little Rock – SneakerTube.TV! I don’t know the height or if this sign is located on an actual highway, but 26-year-old, Michael Watkins a.k.a 501ShoeKeeper from N. Little Rock, Arkansas is reppin’ from the population of 62,304 people.
In December 2010, Michael decided to start vlogging sneaker reviews for his city. The 501 area code has a very scarce amount of people interested in the Sneaker community. But, there are some real hardcore sneakerheads that do exist.
As a sneaker collector, Michael says, “At times it’s really hard to get sneakers down here.” If you do see someone rockin’ some heat – Then that’s an indication that they did their homework! Like for instance, the eccentric looking Nike Air MAG, which by the way are Michael’s favorite pair of kicks. On the other hand, if he were going the conventional route then it would be the Jordan III’s.
If Michael had he’s way in the game – He would put restrictions on retro production. Ideally, he thinks their lifespan should be limited to “ Like a 5, 7, or 10 year period where it can’t be retro’d again.” He believes by doing so, the design will generate more appreciation with a greater chance of increasing its value on the market.
Another aspect of the culture that Michael wants to slash is the “RAPE-U-PRICES.” He understands that resellers are trying to make a nice profit in the game, but he feels it’s an unnecessary type of inflation.
